Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation (KAHRAMAA) has commissioned the 132/400 kV Al Suwaidi super substation in Doha, valued at QAR400 million, under KAHRAMAA’s plan to expand the country’s transmission grid network.
The 1,000 MVA substation will serve power to the Al Sadd, Bin Mahmoud and Fereej Al Soudan areas, and also meet the electricity requirements of the Al Bidda Doha metro station. The substation has been connected to the Greater Doha South substation via 16-kmlong, 400 kV line.
