Philippine NGCP energises 230 kV transmission line

Private concessionaire for the Philippine transmission network, National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP), has recently energised the 230 kV San Jose─Quezon Line 3, which will widen the power corridor into Metro Manila. ..

The aforementioned line is part of a PHP1.64 billion project that entailed upgradation work on the line, along with expansion of the 230 kV San Jose and Quezon substations. The 19 km-long line crosses the cities of Quezon, Caloocan, Valenzuela and San Jose del Monte (Bulacan), and expands the power transmission corridor, allowing all available and incoming supply from power plants to transmit to the country’s load centre.
