The Jakson Group has planned to raise its solar cell manufacturing target from 250 MW annually to 1,000 MW.
A plant to make 500 MW of solar modules is already under construction at Noida, Uttar Pradesh. The cell manufacturing plant is likely to be built within the next 12-16 months. So far the company has invested around 1.50 billion in solar modules. In 2017, the company had planned to manufacture 1,000 MW of solar modules and 250 MW of solar cells. The plan has now been revised with cell manufacturing capacity being increased four times.
