Vietnam’s CPMB to commission 24 power projects in 2021

Central Power Project Management Board (CPMB), the subsidiary of state-owned Electricity of Vietnam (EVN), has recently announced its plans for energising 24 projects in 2021. ..

The current focus of the organisation is on six projects, that it plans to energise in the first quarter of the year. These include the 500 kV Doc Soi‒Pleiku 2 transmission line, 500 kV line connecting the Nghi Son 2 thermal power plant to the national power system along with the 220 kV Muong La substation and connection lines, and the 220 kV Muong Te substation, among others. Further, CPMB plans on commencing construction of 12 power projects, including the 500 kV Van Phong‒Vinh Tan power transmission line, the 500 kV Van Phong substation and connection lines, the 220 kV Tuong Duong substation and connection lines, and others. In addition, the organisation has approved the feasibility study report for construction investment in 29 other projects, including 12×500 kV projects and 17×220 kV projects with a total investment of VND4,682 billion.
