Maharashtra energy department to spend Rs 25 billion a year on MSEDCL’s infrastructure development

Of the total amount, Rs 15 billion will be spent on providing electricity to agricultural pumps and Rs 10 billion for strengthening infrastructure in industrial and urban areas. The infrastructure development funds includes installation of substations, distribution transformers and high tension (HT) and low tension (LT) lines. Further, to boost industries, the government is looking at reducing power tariffs for industrial consumers.
