State discoms of AP, Telangana and Bihar planning to cut losses to obtain loans under Atmanirbhar

Northern Power Distribution Company of Telangana Limited (TSNPDCL) aims to achieve zero revenue loss by 2024-25 from a loss of Rs 0.81 per unit in 2019-20, while its aggregate technical and commercial (AT&C) losses are proposed to be reduced from 37 per cent in 2019-20 to 15 per cent. Telangana State Southern Power Distribution Company Limited (TSSPDCL) had a revenue gap of Rs 1.14 per unit, which is proposed to be reduced to 25 paise by 2023-24, while its AT&C losses are proposed to be lowered to 14 per cent from 18.18 per cent. North Bihar Power Distribution Company Limited (NBPDCL) had AT&C losses of 26.71 per cent and a revenue gap of 66 paise per unit at the end of 2019-20, which it aims to reduce to 15 per cent and zero loss by March 2025. South Bihar Power Distribution Company Limited (SBPDCL) aims to reduce its AT&C losses of 42.86 per cent to 20 per cent by 2024-25 besides lowering the revenue gap to 30 paise a unit from 65 paise.
