Toshiba Transmission & Distribution Systems (India) Private Limited (TTDI), a Toshiba Group company located in Telangana, has been certified as a Japan-India Institute for Manufacturing (JIM) by Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI). TTDI JIM, the 15th accredited JIM, will be inaugurated at the TTDI Skill Development Centre in April 2021. The JIM project is a part of the joint manufacturing skill transfer promotion programme of METI and India’s Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, which was launched in November 2016. The project aims to establish Japanese-style institutes in India for developing human resources.
