Siemens bags SAR57 million 380 kV reactors’ contract from Saudi’s SEC

Siemens Saudi Arabia has bagged an EPC contract worth SAR57.3 million from the Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) for the installation of 380 kV reactors at the Hail 3 substation. .

The contract involves the installation of bus-connected reactors at the existing Hail-3 bulk supply point (BSP). It also involves modification of 380 kV gas-insulated switchgear (GIS) and installation of 380 kV hybrid GIS, low voltage (LV) auxiliary supply, and protection, metering, control supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) and telecommunication systems, with civil and electromechanical works. Siemens is required to undertake the design, engineering, materials procurement, quality management, factory inspection/testing, transport and delivery to site, installation, construction, site inspection, testing and commissioning, and all associated work and services until final handing over of substation works in a satisfactorily working and operating condition. The contract duration is 20 months from the date of signing.
