PSPCL faces subsidy shortfall of Rs 55 billion

The agricultural subsidy is estimated to be about Rs 68 billion, domestic about Rs 15 billion and industrial about Rs 19.3 billion. Of the Rs 136.27 billion payable subsidy (up to January 31), Rs 64.50 billion has been paid by the Punjab government and Rs 16.71 billion has been adjusted as electricity duty and infrastructure development fund. The utility still faces a shortfall of Rs 55.06 billion.
