Egypt’s Elsewedy Electric bags KWD16 million, 400 kV line contract from Kuwait’s MEW

Egyptian Elsewedy Electric has bagged a KWD16.1 million contract from the Kuwait’s Ministry of Electricity and Water (MEW) for the supply and installation of a 96- km-long, 400 kV overhead transmission line for the Boubyan (Z) Main substation. ..

The contract involves the supply and installation of two new 400 kV, double-circuit, three-phase OHTL from the existing line between the Subbiya power station and Sabah Elahmad 4Z substations, to the proposed 400/132/11 kV Mubarak AlKabeer Port Z substation. The new lines will cross existing three 300 kV and one 400 kV double-circuit lines. The duration of the contract is thirty months from the date of award.
