Plug Power and SK Group form a JV to build hydrogen ecosystem

Plug Power and SK Group have made a capital investment of $1.6 billion to partner in accelerating hydrogen as an alternative source of energy in Asian markets. 

The two companies have formed a joint venture (JV) company to build a hydrogen ecosystem in Korea and further make inroads into the Asian markets. This JV aims to establish a gigafactory in Korea by 2023 for production of fuel cells and electrolyzers to supply them in broader Asian markets.
