HVPNL plans to increase grid resilience in 2021-22

HHaryana Vidyut Prasaran Nigam Limited (HVPNL) plans to add 11 new substations and augment
106 substations in 2021-22. 

In addition, HVPNL also plans on erecting 1,057 circuit km of transmission lines during the year. These additions will instil 7,194 MVA of additional capacity in the grid and aid in improving the reliability and quality of power supply. The utility has also initiated two important projects namely, ‘SAMAST’ (Scheduling, Accounting, Metering and Settlement of Transactions) in the power sector, and Reliable Communication and Data Acquisition System at the 132 kV level to establish integrated IT systems for effective grid management.
