UPERC approves power sale agreement for 380 MW wind projects at a trading margin of Rs 0.07/kWh.

The Uttar Pradesh Electricity Regulatory Commission (UPERC), in a recent order, has approved a power sale agreement (PSA) for the purchase of 380 MW of wind power. It has also approved a trading margin of Rs 0.07 per kWh.

The order was signed by the Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (UPPCL) with the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI), and is subject to SECI placing on record the conformity certificate for the power purchase agreement (PPA) signed with SprngVaayuUrja,a wind generator. UPERC has also stated that SECI should sign the PPA with Betam Wind Energy as per the terms of the PSA. The pooled tariff for the UPPCL would remain same as per Schedule I of the PSA based on the tariff adopted by the central commission.
