UPPTCL to develop six new substations by 2023

Uttar Pradesh Power Transmission Corporation Limited (UPPTCL) is planning to build six new substations in Greater Noida with capacities ranging between 132 kV, 220 kV and 400 kV by 2023. In addition, it is also planning to upgrade an existing 220 kV substation to 400 kV.

The 400 kV substations will be located in Metro Depot and Amarpura each, followed by 220 kV substations in Jalpura and Knowledge Park 5, along with 132 kV substations in Ecotech 8 and 10. The facilities, once completed, will cater to the increasing power demand in the region, which is expected to experience a surge due to increasing residential and industrial activities.
