Philippine NGCP seeks approval for PHP24.5 billion worth of projects

The concessionaire for the Philippine transmission network, National Grid Corporation of Philippines (NGCP), is seeking approval from the Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) for major transmission and substation projects worth PHP24.5 billion. …

The projects include—the PHP4.14 billion, 500 kV Silang substation project; PHP4.11 billion, 500 kV Pinamucan substation project; PHP5.13 billion, 500 kV Tagkawayan substation project; PHP6.791 billion, 500 kV Taguig─Silang transmission line project; and the PHP4.29 billion, 500 kV Tuy substation project. The Silang substation project is targeted for implementation within a 52-month period, while the Pinamucan substation should be installed within 56 months. Further, the proposed Tagkawayan substation facility is planned for completion in 67 months; the Taguig─Silang transmission line project within 65 months; and the Tuy substation project after 55 months.
