Tata Power to develop 60 MW solar project in Gujarat

Tata Power has announced that it has received a letter of award from Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL), on March 26, to develop a 60 MW capacity solar project in Gujarat.

The plant will be generating approximately 156 MUs of energy per year. It is expected to offset about 156 million kg of carbon dioxide annually. The energy is to be supplied to GUVNL under a power purchase agreement (PPA). The PPA will be valid for 25 years from scheduled commercial operation date (CoD). The project has to be commissioned within 18 months from the date of execution of the PPA.  After this award, the total under development capacity in Gujarat would be 580 MW and Tata Power’s renewable capacity will increase to 4,007 MW. .
