The Ministry of Power (MoP) has issued letters to the Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC), Power System Operation Corporation (POSOCO) and the power exchanges for developing an integrated day ahead market (DAM) in power exchange with separate price formation for renewable energy power and conventional power.
The move aims to provide multiple options to market participants in renewable energy space. The MoP is expecting to launch it at the earliest, preferably before June 30, 2021.
