This project will be the largest single-site wind farm in Central Asia. The agreement was signed by ACWA Power with Ministry of Investments & Foreign Trade and the Ministry of Energy of Uzbekistan for the development, construction and operation of the project. The announcement comes after the signing of power purchase agreements (PPA) and investment agreements for two wind power projects in Bukhara and Navoi, concluded earlier this year and is an attempt by the Uzbekistan government to increase the country’s renewable energy capacity and diversify its energy mix.
