The Goa Electricity Department has stated that there will be no power tariff hike for 2021-22.
The tariff has remained the same since 2019-20 despite the Joint Electricity Regulatory Commission (JERC) recommending a hike in tariff as the state government did not enforce it due to the pandemic. Â The fuel power purchase cost adjustment (FPPCA) which varies every quarter has been reduced by 39 per cent.
