IREDA extends deadline for 5 GW grid-connected solar projects under CPSU

The Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency (IREDA) has amended 5 GW Central Public Sector Undertaking (CPSU) Solar Tender Programme Phase IIfor the grid-connected solar projects.

The tariff cap has been raised to Rs 2.45 per kWh from Rs 2.20 per kWh and the maximum permissible limit for viability gap funding (VGF) reduced to Rs 5.5 million from Rs 7 million. The scheduled commissioning date for the full capacity of the project will have to be on or before 30 months from the issue date of the letter of award (LoA) or the letter of intent (LoI), irrespective of the project capacity.  The deadline has been extended to May 15, 2021.
