Power disruption affects 4.64 million consumers in Maharashtra

Cyclone Tauktae has reportedly disrupted power supply to 4.64 million consumers in Thane, Raigad, Palghar, Ratnagiri, Sindhudurg and other districts of Maharashtra.

The electricity supply of 3.41 million consumers has now been successfully restored. Thane district was the worst hit as the cyclone snapped the power supply of 785,000 consumers. In Raigad, 773,000 consumers were affected by the power outage while in Palghar, Ratnagiri, Sindhudurg, Satara, Marathwada and Vidarbha 588,000, 418,000, 366,000, 408,000, 130,000 and 53,392 consumers faced a power cut.
