Haryana issues guidelines for private entrepreneurs for setting up solar parks

The New and Renewable Energy Department in Haryana has issued guidelines to private entrepreneurs to develop solar parks in the state without financial assistance from the government.

The minimum capacity of the solar park should be 50 MW with a minimum land requirement set at 4 acres per MW. The cost of development of a 50 MW solar park will be considered about Rs 100 million. The development of the solar park can start after receiving a no-objection certificate from Haryana Renewable Energy Development Agency (HAREDA) and subsequent approval from Haryana Vidyut Prasaran Nigam Limited (HVPNL). The development of the solar park should be completed within 24 months from the date of issue of the no-objection certificate for the solar park’s development.
