The USD 88.9 million project is a 60-40 joint venture between MGen Renewable Energy, Inc. (MGreen), a fully owned subsidiary of MERALCO and PowerSource Energy Holdings Corporation. The power plant will be providing clean energy tothe Luzon Grid. MERALCO further plans to make more investments in renewable energy (RE) generation (particularly solar energy), after having announced its shift to RE in 2019.
