Japan-based Marubeni Corporation and Electricity Generation Company of Bangladesh Limited (EGCB) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for the joint development of the 100 MW Feni Solar PV Power Plant in the People’s Republic of Bangladesh. …
The MoU for the 100 MW power plant was approved by the Bangladesh Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources. This project is going to be one of the largest scale solar power plants in Bangladesh. It is also the first independent power producer (IPP) project for Marubeni in the country. Marubeni has earlier installed about 1,300 MW of gas-fired power plants and hydropower plants in Bangladesh.
