Paraguayan ANDE inaugurates works on 220 kV San Ignacio Guazú substation

Paraguayan Administracion Nacional de Electricidad (ANDE) inaugurated works on the 220/23 kV San Ignacio Guazú substation valued at USD 2.45 million.

This substation aims to provide reliable electricity to approximately 18,500 customers in the districts of San Ignacio and Santa Maria. The project is in line with ANDE’s objective of fully utilising the power generated via clean and renewable sources. The project—self-financed by ANDE—entails construction of a 220 kV yard, assembly of a 41.7 MVA power transformer and associated equipment, a 23 kV yard with output for four feeders, undertaking auxiliary services, and building a container-type control house. Under the distribution segment of the project, two new feeders will be built, along with protected conductors.
