South Korea pledges to reduce GHG emissions

South Korea has pledged to raise its goal of reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and make bigger cuts in GHG emissions.

It has also planned to set up a green fund to help developing countries shift to renewable energy (RE) based generation and has pledged an amount of $5 million for this purpose. These pledges were made by the president of South Korea at the Partnering for Green Growth and the Global Goals 2030 summit. The country will be revealing its plans for GHG emission cuts at the United Nations Climate Change Conference in November 2021.
