Tata Motors and Tata Power have jointly inaugurated India’s largest grid-synchronized, behind-the-meter 6.2 MWp solar carport at the Tata Motors car plant in Chikhali, Pune.
The solar carport deployed by Tata Power will generate 8.64 MUs of electricity per year and is estimated to reduce 7,000 tonnes of carbon emissions annually and 160,000 tonnes over its lifecycle. The carport infrastructure has been deployed in a record time of 9.5 months.
