Risen Energy to invest USD13.35 billion for 3 GW manufacturing facility in Malaysia

Risen Energy, a Chinese solar PV manufacturer plans to invest MYR 42.2 billion (USD13.35 billion) in a new solar PV cell and module manufacturing center in Malaysia over a 15-year period.

A 3 GW manufacturing plant will be built in Kedah, Malaysia’s northwest area. The construction at the Kulim Hi-Tech Park will be finished by the end of 2021, with commercial operations set to commence in 2022. The new manufacturing center would not only help Risen Energy to boost its production capacity, but also promise economic growth possibilities to Malaysia’s investment environment.
