The power consumption during the same period in 2020 was 25.72 BUs. Additionally, the peak power demand has recorded an all-time high of over 200.57 GW on July 7, 2021. The current level of consumption has reached pre-pandemic levels due to easing of lockdowns and curbs as well as delayed monsoon. Since states have eased lockdowns and restrictions, commercial and industrial power demand is expected to see a robust recovery in the coming months.
