UAE’s Masdar signs agreement to develop two solar power projects in Uzbekistan

Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company (Masdar) has signed agreement to develop two photovoltaic power projects of 440 MW in Uzbekistan. 

The plants will be located in the Samarkand and Jizzakh regions of Uzbekistan. As per the agreement, Masdar will develop, build and operate the plants, which will each have a capacity of 220 MW, on a public-private partnership basis. The commercial operation of the projects is expected to start in the first quarter of 2023.
