BSES Rajdhani Power Limited and BSES Yamuna Power Limited are looking to give up purchasing electricity from more plants located outside Delhi.
The BSES discoms have initiated the process for exiting the PPAs with the Delhi Electricity Regulatory Commission (DERC). The PPAs with NTPC’s thermal power plants namely Unchahar-I, Farakka, Auraiya, and Anta – have already crossed their shelf life of 25 years. Earlier, the discoms had exited the purchase agreement (PPA) with the NTPC Limited for the Dadri-1 plant.
