It runs through the villages of Lalung, Silmoo, Batalik, Darchik, Hurdass, Sinikcey and Garkon. The line will electrify all remote villages in Aryan Valley (Kargil district) and connect them to the national grid through 220 kV Srinagar-Leh Transmission System. The project fallsunder the rural electrification scheme of Prime Minister Development Programme (PMDP).
