JSW Energy plans to separate renewables business

JSW Energy is planning to separate its green (renewables) and grey (thermal) businesses to attract capital and strategic investors into the fast-growing renewables segment.

JSW Energy will continue to hold on to its existing thermal power projects, even as it aims to increase its green portfolio to 85 per cent of the total capacity by 2030. By 2030, it aims to be a 20 GW firm, with all additional capacity coming from the wind, solar, and hydro segments.
