SJVN wins 200 MW capacity of grid-connected solar PV projects in Bihar

SJVN Limited has secured 200 MW grid-connected solar photovoltaic (PV) projects in Bihar in an auction held by Bihar Renewable Energy Development Agency (BREDA).

SJVN quoted a tariff of Rs 3.11 per kWh for the projects in the open competitive tariff bidding process during the e-reverse auction. The project will be constructed on a on a build, own, and operate basis by SJVN. The cost of the construction and development of the project is expected to be around Rs 10 billion. BREDA and SJVN will sign the purchase power agreement (PPA) for 25 years. On completion, the project is expected to generate 420.48 MU in the first year and 10,512 MU over 25 years.
