Saudi’s SEC awards 380 kV transmission contracts to TDP and Hitachi ABB

Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) has awarded two 380 kV transmission contracts to Saudi-based Trading Development Partnership (TDP) and Japanese Hitachi ABB Power Grids.

TDP has bagged a SAR487.4 million turnkey contract for the design, supply and installation of 380 kV underground cable, approximately 39-km-long, associated with Substation 9097. The duration of the contract is 29 months from the date of its award. Hitachi ABB received a contract for the design, supply, supervision of installation, and testing and commissioning of the 380 kV Sudair Solar PV gas-insulated switchgear substation.
