AEP, headquartered in Dubai, isan independent renewable energy (RE) developer and producer based of the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. The acquisition will enable CSAIL to extend its business and foray into the RE markets in the MENA region.AEP has an operational capacity of 411 MW with a portfolio of five solar and two wind projects in Egypt and Jordan.AEP’s established regional footprint, leading technology, and operational excellence, will help in laying a solid foundation for CSAIL’s future expansion into the region. RE sector in the MENA region is witnessing strong structural growth trends and 157 GW of RE capacity and an additional $175billion expected to be invested in the next ten years.
