Vietnamese Trung Nam energises 500 kV facilities

The Trung Nam Group—a Vietnamese investment and construction joint stock company (JSC)—has energised a 500 kV transformer substation and 1.2 km of transmission line for connecting the 400 MW Ea Nam Wind Power Project to the 500 kV Di Linh–Pleiku transmission line; thus facilitating the connection to the grid.

The wind power project, with a total investment of VND16,500 billion, is important to the Dak Lak Province, which has played a key role in promoting renewable generation in the country. The wind project is expected to completed by year-end 2021 and will help achieve economic benefits and bring clean green energy to the area for local and regional consumption. The estimated power output of the project is about 1.1 billion kWh of electricity per year.
