Gautam Solar has installed solar pumps of 7.5 HP and 10 HP capacity at 1,500 different locations in Haryana under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha evem Utthan Mahabhiyan (PM-KUSUM) Yojana so as to reduce the reliance of farmers on diesel-based generators, and make it easier for them to access electricity. The government has set a target of installing 22,000 stand-alone solar pumps in Haryana within the first year of the scheme.
