Nigeria commissions 132 kV substation in Anambra State

The Niger Delta Power Holding Company Limited (NDPHC) commissioned the 132/33 kV Awka substation in Anambra State in Nigeria.

The 2×60 MVA substation, which has been set up to improve the power supply in the region, has been provided with six 33 kV feeders to enable robust power evacuation. The substation will be supplying electricity to approximately 1 million households in both urban and rural parts of the state. It will also provide 70 MW of the additional power capacity needed to drive industrial growth and boost the economy of the state.
