Maharashtra government and JSW Energy to set up RE projects worth Rs 355 billion

The Maharashtra government and JSW Energy Limited have signed two memorandums of understanding (MoUs) to set up two renewable energyprojects of 6,500 capacity in northern and western Maharashtra.

This MoU entails setting up a 1,500 MW hydro power project in Nashik and a 5,000 MW wind power project spread across 1,870 hectares in Kolhapur, Solapur, Satara and Osmanabad. The projects will entail an investment ofRs 355 billion. These will be set up within 18 months. P
