CESL plans for 8.5 GW solar capacity over next five to six years

Convergence Energy Solutions Services (CESL) has planned to set up 8.5 GW capacity of solar power over the next five to six years.

The company to looking to raise $200 million, each, for projects such as setting up solar plants, and supplying electric buses and two-wheelers. CESL is investing in energy storage solutions and making policy development recommendations to enable energy storage solutions for the Indian markets. Recently the company had invited bids to buy 100,000 electric three-wheelers at an estimated cost of Rs 30 billion.
