NTDC awards contract to Siemens under World Bank project in Pakistan

Pakistan’s state-owned transmission utility, National Transmission and Despatch Company (NTDC), has awarded a contract to Siemens Energy under the World Bank-funded National Transmission Modernization Project- I (NTMP-I).

The contract for NTMP-I project is worth $8.1 million and the scope of work entails undertaking design, supply and installation for augmentation works at the 220 kV Sumandari Road and Ghakkar substations. The work involves increasing the capacity of the aforementioned substations from 2×160 MVA to 2×250 MVA. The duration of the contract is 18 months from the date of award.
