Solar Philippines sets 10,000 hectares in solar energy zones

Solar Philippines, largest solar energy provider in the Phillipines, has allocated over10,000 hectares of land for the development of large-scale solar farm projects in the country, especially in Luzon’s largest power grid.

The proposed solar energy zones (SEZs) are currently undergoing agreement finalisation with the relevant parties. The SEZs will be located close to existing solar projects in Batangas, Tarlac and Nueva Ecija. In the upcoming months, Solar Philippines will be disclosing details about the renewable energy (RE) projects to be constructed in the SEZs over the next five years. The SEZs will enable RE developers to co-locate solar projects in large shovel-ready sites with shared facilities, allowing for cost savings.
