Keppel and BCPB to deliver sustainable energy and infrastructure solutions in ASEAN

Keppel New Energy has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Thailand-based BCPG Public Limited Company to collaborate on providing low-carbon, sustainable energy solutions and infrastructure for the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).

Initially, both firms will collaborate to develop and offer high-efficiency district cooling as a service (CaaS), electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure and operations, and other smart-city innovations in Thailand. The companies will also work together on RE generation and interconnected transmission, as well as projects that produce high-quality RE certificates and carbon offsets for the ASEAN’s expanding carbon offset markets. In future, the partnership will jointly establish a carbon credit marketplace and trading platform in Thailand, Laos, and Singapore. The MoU intends to meet increased demand for clean and renewable energy, as well as value-added energy services, in order to support sustainable urbanisation in ASEAN. It also aligns with Keppel’s Vision 2030, which aims to create sustainable urbanisation solutions.
