Powergrid to invest Rs 142.3 million in EV charging station

Power Grid Corporation of India Limited’s (PowerGrid) board has allowed an investment of Rs 142.3 million for an electric vehicle (EV) charging station in Navi Mumbai.

The board has approved the investment proposal for setting up of the EV charging station under the FAME India Scheme Phase-II. The charging station is expected to be commissioned in 12 months. The board has also approved the incorporation of a wholly-owned subsidiary of Powergrid to undertake its telecommunications and digital technology business.
