CLP India has announced that it has assumed a new corporate identity as Apraava Energy.
The company targets to double energy portfolio in next 3 to 4 years by focusing on low-carbon growth areas. Apraava Energy also plans to expand its horizons in the field of power transmission and distribution businesses. As the power sector gets privatized, Apraava Energy will also focus on exploring low-carbon customer-focused energy businesses. It has also announced formal commitment to the Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi). It has issued 13.14 million units of carbon offsets since inception. Apraava Energy is jointly owned by the CLP Group and Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec (CDPQ), a global investment group.
