Coal stocks have increased to an average of five days of consumption at power plants.
The power plants are maintaining 300,000 tonnes of coal supply every day and are expected to reach six days average stock in the next two-three days. The total stock at power plants has now increased to about 9.02 million tonnes (mt) against 7.5 mt in the middle of this month. While the total daily electricity generation has declined to 3.7 billion units due to a dip in temperature across the country.
