JSW Energy records consolidated PAT of Rs 3.39 billion in second quarter of 2021-22

JSWEnergy has recorded a consolidated profit after tax (PAT) of Rs 3.39 billion and revenueof Rs 22.37 billion for quarter ended September 2021. 

The company’s total revenue has increased by 12 per cent year-on-year from Rs 20 billion over the corresponding quarter last year. The earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) has increased by 10 per cent from Rs 9.85 billion to Rs 10.80 billion. JSW is pursuing a growth strategy to expand current RE capacity of 4.6 GW to 10 GW by 2025 and 30 GW by 2030. About 2.5 GW of greenfield renewable capacity is under construction and  JSW Energy is also looking at new growth platforms such as green hydrogen and pumped storage hydro. During the quarter, the company signedMoUs with the Government of Maharashtra for 5 GW wind and 1.5 GW hydro pumped storage projects.
