ANDRITZ has received an order from Assam Power Generation Corporation Limited to supply the complete electro-mechanical equipment for the lower Kopili Hydroelectric Plant (HEP) in central Assam. The scope of supply by ANDRITZ includes plant design and engineering, manufacture, supply, erection, testing and commissioning of the equipment, including all five turbine-generator units. On completion, the HEP will have a total installed capacity of 120 MW, based on two main units and three environmental flow units. It will provide 456 GWh of electricity per year. The entire work will be conducted by ANDRITZ’s Indian subsidiary in Mandideep (near Bhopal) and Prithla (near Faridabad).
