PFC records 22 per cent increase in PAT in second half of 2021-22

Power Finance Corporation Limited (PFC) has recorded an increase of 22 per cent in profit after tax (PAT) from Rs 78.47 billion in first half of 2020-21 (H1FY2021) to Rs 95.78 billion in first half of 2021-22 (H1FY2022).

PFC’s net interest income increased by 18 per cent to Rs 150.69 billion for H1FY2022from Rs 127.82 billion in H1FY2021. The consolidated net worth has of the company has increased by 19 per cent to Rs 903.11 billion from Rs 75.60 billion and there has been a reduction in consolidated net non-performing assets (NPA) ratio from 2.60 per cent to 1.72 per cent due to resolution of stressed assets during the same period. PFC has been conferred with the Maharatna status October 12, 2021. It is the first Maharatna company in the financial sector.(Central sector)
